Until recently, Mai worked for a local Cambridge real estate development company for 20. She specialized in both commercial and high-end residential real estate. Some notable projects included the development of the Cambridge Side Mall, Hotel Marlowe, and the Education First Headquarters. She has also had her hand in real estate investing since 2011, owning several properties in the South Boston area and others in Huntsville, AL.

Mai is married to her husband Phuong and she is a mom to 4 children. She is a local resident of the Wollaston neighborhood in Quincy and is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. When she doesn\342\200\231t have her real estate hat on, she loves to spend time cheering her kids on in the Quincy soccer and basketball fields. An occasional game of billiards is also one of her favorite pastimes when she has time to decompress.
