Since opening his doors for business in 1971, Dean Gilbert has been providing the Texoma community with professional Real Estate service. He has gained the trust and respect of our community over the last 50 years by consistently providing the best service and integrity in everything he does. Throughout his career, Dean has been dedicated to his business as well as his community. He served as President of The Greater Texoma Association Of Realtors in 1976, and then went on to be named Realtor of the Year in 1979. Dean then received the Economic Developer of the Year Award in 1991. He has also been given the Distinguished Service Award in 1999, 2006, and 2011. Dean was presented with Realtor Emeritus status in 2009 by the NAR. In the community, Dean served on the Sherman City Council from 1981-1985 and then went on to become Sherman\342\200\231s Mayor from 1985-1989. Apart from serving on the council and Mayor, Dean was a Trustee for Wilson N. Jones Memorial Hospital from 1989-2006 and served on the Board of Directors for American Bank of Texas from 1980-2017. Dean has also served on various other boards and committees to further the growth of the Texoma area. Outside of work, Dean has been married to Gail Gilbert for 56 years and has four children and nine grandchildren, two of which are brokers and one a sales agent at the office today. He is a deacon at First Baptist Sherman, a top-notch bass fisherman, never misses a ball game, and is often found at his farm working his cattle or tending to the garden.
