The Terraba River separates Isla Garza from the mainland. The island offers 17 kilometers of wild, natural and pristine ocean-facing beaches. It is just under 900m from the property and is accessible by a quick water taxi ride from the nearby oceanside settlement. On the riverside you can experience the incredible mangroves and related wildlife in a kayak or boat, touring to photograph numerous species of birds, monkeys, and parrots as well as caimans and possibly crocodiles too!
Once back from your adventures you have the best seat in the house for the nightly crimson sunset show – you can watch the sun descend into the waters of the Pacific while you relax in the pool or sip a mimosa on the deck adjacent to the restaurant!
Currently the lodge offers 11 rooms, 5 suites in the main building offering “WOW” ocean and sunset views and 6 rooms located in the 3 detached casitas which offer majestic and panoramic mountain vistas.
