In the early 1900's as newlyweds, my grandparents wanted a piece of paradise and found it in Southwest Florida. They worked hard to farm and improve on 160 acres in NW Cape. They were awarded the property by the U.S. Government deeding them the property free and clear under the Florida Homestead Act of 1862. The work ethics of the Nelson family has passed on to me. Growing up in Cape Coral and raising my own family I have a special love for SW Florida.Over the years, I have served on numerous governmental boards and non-profit organizations such as The City of Cape Coral Park Advisory Committee, Lee County Economic Development Committee, Chamber of Commerce and many years as an Officer of the Board of Director of Cape Coral Little League.
