Leading from the main lodge area are walkways to the central lodge boma and outdoor bar. Leading from the boma are separate walkways to all the different units. The chalets are raised tented luxury tree top chalets that are nestled into larger river trees and located on a drainage line. Three of the chalets are private and consist of private patio, bedroom with fridge and bathroom. The tree top chalets all have a hot tub/bath and indoor as well as outdoor showers. There is a family chalet consisting of a central self-catering kitchen, and two bedrooms located to either side of the kitchen. A large patio area and its own private boma and braai area, overlooking the dam, completes the family chalet.

Dinners are hosted in a scenic boma with outdoor bar, situated within the drainage line, creating evenings to remember. A water hole near the boma is also known to attract game in for a drink.

Sold as a going concern this lodge has bounced back after Covid and has potential to be shifted into a new gear. There are future bookings and well-trained staff. Movable Items and furniture included, as well as a Futon bakkie. There is an attractive dam on the property and game is abundant on the reserve.

The Guernsey Nature Reserve is a plains game reserve with iconic game species such as giraffe, zebra, buffalo, impala, kudu, reedbuck, and warthog to name a few. Lions and hyena can be heard from Thornybush adding to the bush feel.
